Each Football Club will be allowed to enter a maximum of 2 x teams per age group.
All matches to be played on a U7/U8 size pitch with 12x6 goals for all age groups.
Ball size to be used is that recommended on the NCYFL league.

(A) The Competition will be known as MADRA Football Club Youth Tournament 2025 and shall be organized by Madra Football Club. The Clubs participating in the Competition must be affiliated to their Norfolk County Football Association.
(B) All Clubs shall adhere to the Rules which will be carried out in accordance with the rules, regulations and policies of The FA. Every Club upon entry shall be deemed to have accepted the Rules and to have agreed to abide by the decisions of the Management Committee.
(C) All Clubs shall adhere to the FA initiatives and policies including but not limited to, Safeguarding Children, Equality and RESPECT programme.
The Management Committee will comprise of the MADRA tournament committee and Trustees of MADRA Football Club. Any protests, claims, complaints or appeals should be submitted by a team official who has ben named on the application form to the Management Committee within 10 minutes of completion of the match in question. Upon receipt the Management Committee shall consider the protest and arrive at a decision.
(A) All Clubs must have valid public liability insurance cover at all times.
(B) All Clubs must have valid personal accident cover for all Players registered with them from time to time. The Players’ personal accident insurance cover must be in place prior to the Club taking part in any Competition Match and shall be at least equal to the minimum recommended cover determined from time to time by the Norfolk FA.

A maximum number of 8 players per team can be registered. Registration forms can be provided by age group managers or by request. Please e-mail the filled in form back to madraparentscommittee@gmail.com prior to 31st May 2025.

Trainers and moulded football boots are acceptable footwear. No metal studs allowed.
Shin pads are to be worn at all times during the game by all players.
Failure to apply with rules 3 and 4 will result in the player not being allowed to play throughout the tournament.
No jewellery allowed. Earrings to be removed or taped up. Hooped earrings to be removed.
No Hoodies or accessories worn around the neck will be allowed.
Teams are free to arrive any time from 8.30 am. A £2 parking fee per car is applicable payable in cash only.
Manager’s brief will take place at 9.15 am. One representative from each team is to attend.
The manager of the winning team is responsible for returning the scorecard from the game to the tournament administrators
No player is allowed to be registered or play for more than one team per day. Any player found to be in contradiction of this rule will result in both teams being disqualified.
Any player red carded will be suspended for the remainder of the tournament
The referee’s decision is final.
Length
All matches will be played 5 v 5 lasting 10 minutes in length
Substitutions
Substitutes are roll on roll off, these must be approved by the referee and only take place when the ball is out of play or stoppage of play is called (i.e after a goal, or a free kick award)
Offside
There will be no offside rule in force
Retreat
The retreat rule is in place for all age groups.
Throw Ins
a. U7’s, U8’s and U9’s are subject to the dribble in/ pass in rule. All defending players must be 5 yards from the player attempting the dribble / pass in. All rules applicable to the dribble in rule can be found at the link. A goal cannot be scored from a pass in.
b. U11’s, U12’s U13’s and U14’s are subject to the pass in rule ONLY. All defending players must be 5 yards from the player attempting the pass in. A goal cannot be scored from a pass in.
Free Kicks
All free kicks are direct. For all free kicks a minimum of 5 yards must be applied from the ball. An indirect free kick will only be awarded under the following circumstances.
a. The goalkeeper fails to release the ball within 6 seconds
b. The goalkeeper picks up the ball from a deliberate pass back from one of their own players
c. The goalkeeper releases the ball and picks it back up again without playing it to another player first
d. The goalkeeper picks up the ball directly from a pass / dribble in.
In-direct free kicks to be taken from the edge of the box closest to where the offence takes place.
Goal Kicks
a. U7’s U8’s and U9’s - Goalkeepers are not allowed to directly kick the ball from their hands, it must be placed on the floor and kicked or thrown under or over arm.
b. U11’s, U12’s U13’s and U14’s - Goalkeepers are not allowed to directly kick the ball from their hands, it must be placed on the floor and kicked or thrown under arm ONLY.
c. Goalkeepers cannot score directly from a goal kick or by throwing the ball.
Kit
If a kit clash occurs it is the responsibility of the designated away team to wear an alternate kit / bibs. Bibs are to be brought along by each team in the event of a kit clash.
Balls
MADRA football Club will supply an appropriate ball for each pitch but all teams are expected to have a suitable football available as a spare for their game in the event the match ball is damaged or temporarily lost during a game.
a. U7s, U8s and U9s will use Size 3 balls in all their games
b. U11s, U12,s, U13’s and U14’s will use Size 4 balls in all their games
3 points for a win, 1 point for a draw and 0 points for a loss.
U7’s U8’s U9’s U11’s U13’s ONLY
Each age group will be split into 2 x groups of 6. Each team will play 5 league games prior to being entered into either the Champions League, Super League or Europa League.
Any team finishing the round robin in places 1 and 2 will form the Champions League (3 additional games)
Any team finishing the round robin in places 3 and 4 will form the Super League (3 additional games)
Any team finishing the round robin in places 5 and 6 will form the Europa League (3 additional games)
This will then form another round robin to determine the winners and runners up of each cup.
U12’s ONLY
Each team will play 5 league games prior to being entered into either the Champions League or Super League.
Any team finishing the round robin in places 1, 2 or 3 will form the Champions League (2 additional games)
Any team finishing the round robin in places 4, 5 and 6 will form the Super League (2 additional games)
This will then form another round robin to determine the winners and runners up of each cup.
U14’s ONLY
Each team will play 7 league in a round robin to determine the winners and runners up.
If any teams finish level on points, goal difference will be used, if goal difference is the same then goals scored will be used, if goals scored is the same then the result in the round robin will be used. If this was a draw then a penalty shootout will be used to determine position.
A live web page with the results will be posted for all the parents / managers to see and remain updated with the scores. There will also be a QR code for all to scan.
